LIP organizes yearly internship programs and invites interested students to develop some projects during the summer. Some of these works are proposed with the LouMu project.
Students from Physics, Geophysics, Geology and Engineering can participate in the summer internships proposed within LouMu. The complexity of the work is adapted to the knowledge of the candidates, so they can be performed by students at any level of undergraduate or master degrees.
The subjects of the projects developed in previous years were:
- Muography: using cosmic muons to study large structures
- Muography of a building
- Muon tomography on Earth and on Mars
- Muography: simulation of the muon telescope sensitivity
- Calibration of RPC detetors for muography
- Optimization of muography
- Visualization of 3D muography
- Muographying the city
