The thesis, titled <strong>\u201cImproving the vacuum baseline for in-medium jet physics studies\u201d<\/strong>, was supervised by Liliana Apolin\u00e1rio (LIP\/IST) and Alba Soto-Ontoso (University of Granada). The defense jury included M\u00e1rio Pimenta (LIP\/IST, President), Armesto P\u00e9rez (Santiago de Compostela, Opponent), Guilherme Milhano (LIP\/IST, Opponent), and Alba Soto-Ontoso (Supervisor Representative).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">Diogo\u2019s research tackled the importance of precision in theoretical models for heavy-ion collisions. By incorporating next-to-leading order (NLO) calculations into baseline proton-proton collision simulations, he investigated their impact on jet substructure observables.
