Attendance is mandatory \u2014 either in person at the pole where the lecture is given, or remotely for students from the other poles.<\/p><p><strong>In 2026, as usual, the internships will start in June and end in September, the detailed program will appear soon.<\/strong><\/p><p>The summer program ends with a workshop where each intern contributes a summary presentation of their work. The full agenda can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/indico.lip.pt\/category\/121\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p><p>At the end of the internship, participants are given the opportunity to produce a\u00a0<strong>final paper<\/strong>\u00a0summarising their work; you can find previous ones\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/?section=training&amp;page=student-publications\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p><p>You can browse the proposed topics, materials and presentations of previous editions in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/training\/internship-program\/index.php?option=150\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cPast Events\u201c<\/a>.<\/p><p><strong>LIP also hosts internship students outside the Summer, the projects proposed for last Summer can serve as an example of which kinds of topics each group offers, and give you initial contacts for your search.
