{"id":12,"date":"2024-02-09T09:34:26","date_gmt":"2024-02-09T09:34:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pages.lip.pt\/internship-program-2024\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2024-04-12T11:08:39","modified_gmt":"2024-04-12T11:08:39","slug":"elementor-12","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pages.lip.pt\/internship-program-2024\/en\/elementor-12\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LIP Internship Program<\/strong>&nbsp;is a long standing summer program for Physics, Engineering and Science students, in which interns work on a project between two weeks and two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/training\/internship-program\/index.php?option=5\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/training\/internship-program\/index.php?option=3&amp;lang=EN\">Registration<\/a> for the 2024 edition is open until May 15th.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Students should indicate five <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/training\/internship-program\/index.php?option=3&amp;lang=EN\">projects<\/a> in order of preference.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The summer program includes common introductory lectures on Particle and Astroparticle Physics, detectors and experimental methods, and tutorial sessions on the use of computer tools in data analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>In 2024 the internships will start in June and end in September, the detailed program will appear soon.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The summer program ends with a workshop where each intern contributes a summary presentation of their work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">At the end of the internship, participants are given the opportunity to produce a <strong>final paper<\/strong> summarising their work; you can find previous ones <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/?section=training&amp;page=student-publications\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/?section=training&amp;page=student-publications\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:600\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">You can browse the proposed topics, materials and presentations of previous editions in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lip.pt\/training\/internship-program\/index.php?option=150\">\u201cPast Events\u201c<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LIP also hosts internship students outside the Summer, the projects proposed for last Summer can serve as an example of which kinds of topics each group offers, and give you initial contacts for your search.
